Getting familiar with your money

Many of us grew up without wealth. However, even without it there were small beliefs we were all told about money from someone.

For myself, growing up we had this belief that you always leave a coin in your wallet no matter how depleted you were. This called for other money to come to you. As silly as it may sound, it was not a bad idea. It trained me in a simple way to keep money. It is a small habit but give yourself an amount, even if it is ten dollars to start. Keep it in the place you keep your money.

Tell yourself that I will never be so depleted that I do not have money with me. Get used to seeing money in your bank account, your wallet/purse or in your pocket. You train your money memory to expect money. This process builds up faith.

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.  - 1 Timothy 6:10

Be encouraged, money is not bad. The love of money is what the Lord warns us of.

What are some of the beliefs you grew up with about money?
